Boston Golf Club

Founded in 1900, Boston Golf Club has been at its present site at Cowbridge in Lincolnshire since 1962. The course provides a parkland retreat among the Lincolnshire Fens and will challenge even the most experienced golfers. Originally opened as a 12-hole layout, the course was extended to the full 18 holes in the late 1970s and now measures 6,415 yards. The par-72 layout is renowned throughout the county for being in superb condition. Boston is situated at the crossover of two local drainage systems and, as a result, water impacts on a number of holes on the course.

Despite this, the toughest hole at Boston is not affected by water. The 431-yard par-four third has a stroke index of one and features tree-lined fairways and a green protected by a large bunker. Away from the course, the club boasts a driving range and putting and short game facilities, all of which are available to visitors paying a green fee. Green fees at Boston can be had for as little as £15, while the most expensive mid-week day rate is still only £40. Golf aside, the clubhouse provides an informal and friendly welcome, as well as top-class catering facilities. Most visitors would agree that the signature Lincolnshire toad in the hole is the perfect post-round treat. The course is situated two miles north of Boston and is easily accessible from the B1183.
