Bridgnorth Golf Club

Bridgnorth Golf Club, founded in 1889, is a private members club set in idyllic peaceful surroundings alongside the River Severn.Club captain John Cooke and Ladies\\\' captain Jill Williams welcome visitors, guests and societies.Bridgnorth is a picturesque historic market town perched above the River Severn in beautiful South Shropshire countryside. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, home of the Severn Valley Steam Railway and within easy reach of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, the Shropshire Hills and other medieval towns such as Ludlow and Shrewsbury.  The course is a delight to play, covering varying types of terrain. Some holes are on dry springy turf; some on generally free draining land overlooking the Severn flood plain; while the holes alongside the River Severn are on fertile, silt generated meadowland.All 18 greens have recently been completely re-laid to USGA specifications. The Club welcomes visitors and societies. Organisers should contact the Club Secretary, Brian Ayrey on 01746 763315, who will be happy to attend to your requirements.The Club Pro will be happy to help organise longest drive or nearest the pin competitions and supply golf prizes. Green fees are payable in Professional\\\'s shop on the day of your visit.
