Set within 400 acres of beautiful Vale of Glamorgan parkland, sits Cottrell Park Golf Resort. Views sweep as far as the Brecon Beacons and southwards over the Bristol Channel to the Mendips. The gently rolling parkland with stately trees, many hundreds of years old, combine to create a special charm that is Cottrell Park.

The resort is a leading golf and leisure destination in South East Wales for golfers, families and businesses alike. Our professional team welcomes its guests with a smile and friendly manor whilst presenting the venues facilities immaculately.

New to Cottrell Park is our accommodation.  The Coach House is divided into two separate apartments, the 'Arabella' being on the ground floor and the ‘Emilia’ being on the upper floor.  Each apartment houses two large bedrooms with one double and two single beds in each room.  There is a fully equipped kitchen for self catering use and a living/dining area with TV.  There is one bathroom, with a shower and toilet. Outside of the apartments is a shared patio area with additional tables and chairs offering far reaching views.

Ample car parking is available just alongside the Coach House. There is a bus service just outside the main gates, offering regular services to and from Cardiff and Porthcawl.  Taxi services are also available with local numbers listed in each welcome pack on arrival.  The Coach House is situated only a few miles away from other local attractions, such as the beaches of Ogmore, Southerndown and Barry Island.  We also have great shopping in the area with stunning boutiques located in the Market Town of Cowbridge and Cardiff City Centre, making this the perfect destination for golf breaks, holiday lets and weekend stays!

The Resort offers two 18-hole championship designed golf courses maintained to a high standard with an accommodating Clubhouse with restaurant serving meals all day, every day.  Eveyone is made most welcome and there is no need to reserve a table if you wish to dine at Merrick's Restaurant, just turn up, and note your table number and order at the bar.  The clubhouse offers a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, in which you can unwind after a hard day’s work or play, and there is an extensive bar menu available throughout the day to tempt you.

The sports lounge overlooking the patio and 18th green of the Button Gwinnett course has proved very popular with members and visitors alike, with stand tables, chairs and Sky TV. This room is perfect for discussing the success or disappointments of your game, whilst enjoying a hearty meal and beverage of your choice.

For novice players the venue offers two teaching professionals; Simon Cox and Gareth Bennett. Single, joint or group lessons can be booked using the excellent practice facilities.  There is an all-weather driving range, two state-of-the-art sport simulators, two putting greens and on-course practice area. At Cottrell Park, golfers play off summer tees, fairways and greens throughout the year! Make sure that you visit our professional shop to view the latest offers and promotions. The team are on hand to advise you on all retail items in the shop and with a fantastic range of Golf Bags, Shoes, Clothing for Men and Ladies plus all the accessories you might need, you won't be disappointed.

The Resort also boasts a snooker & pool room, 10km nature trail and private fishing lake, and children’s outdoor play area. Working with two activity providers allows other exciting activities to be arranged including laser pigeon shooting, archery, raft building, kayaking, paddle boarding and quad biking. Problem solving and team building tasks can also be accommodated to help businesses create stronger collaborative teams.  Weddings and events can be catered for within our stunnimg marquee, holding up to 360 guests seated.  The marquee can be sectioned down for smaller functions and is fully equipped for conferencing and showcasing.
