Gloria Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Turkiye's Only 45-Hole Golfing Resort

Gloria is the biggest golfing resort in the country, with three golf courses. 45 holes of championship level golf wind their way around the resort. There are two 18-hole courses, the New and Old, with the 9-hole Verde Course being the icing on the Gloria cake.

The Old Course
The Championship Old Course opened in 1997, and is one of the first golf courses to be designed and moulded into the Turkish landscape. It has become a firm favourite of golf visitors to Turkiye, with beautiful tree lined fairways and views of the Taurus Mountain range.

The Old Course has six lakes in play across its 18-hole lay-out, with water coming into play on eight holes. Importantly, it is in your eye-line from the very beginning, with the approach into the par-5 1st hole being over the water. Both par-3s on the front nine are also played over water, with the closing hole on the Old Course also being a par-3 in front of the clubhouse.

The New Course
Gloria’s second 18-hole track, the New Course, was also designed by Michel Gayon. Like its older brother, the New has plenty of water hazards for you to deal with. On nine of the last 11 holes, players will have to contend with daunting blue lagoons. The signature 17th hole features an island green. At only 125 yards from the tips, it is not a long hole, but any mishit shot will end up wet.

The Verde Course
The Verde is Gloria’s 9-hole jewel. The resort’s newest course, it has quickly become one of the top nine-hole courses in all Europe, located among natural pine trees and lakes. The ‘Verde Select’ 18-hole route can also include either the front or back nine from the Old or New Courses.

Gloria Golf Training Academy & TrackMan Firsts

The Gloria Golf Training Academy is the first of its kind in Turkiye. There are PGA qualified professionals and even a Physical Performance Coach, with the Academy having the facilities to help both the physical aspect of the game, alongside fine-tuning the swings of golfers.

All aspects of the game are covered at the Gloria Golf Training Academy, which is the largest in Turkiye with 48 covered bays on the driving range. There are also six grass tee areas, five putting greens and seven chipping greens to hone the skills of the short game. The Academy Clubhouse is home to Turkiye's first specialist putting centre with PuttView, PuttView X and Quintic technology.

The driving range is also the first full TrackMan range in an European Resort with 48 bays all with a 27 inch screen & TrackMan radar technology. Along with lessons and tuition from the three professionals on site, there is also coaching on the mental side of the game with a qualified golf psychologist. A qualified DP World Tour referee is also on hand for a two-day course spent on the golf course, teaching all the rules that golfers should know.
