Fairfield Golf & Sailing Club

Founded in 1892 and situated barely five miles east of the city of Manchester and two miles west of Ashton-Under-Lyne, Fairfield Golf and Sailing Club, to give it its full title, is a great course for all levels of player. Don't be surprised if you hear it being called a 'hidden gem' - this course has all the attributes associated with a hidden gem. Fairfield is 5800-yard parkland course that's set around a reservoir, so it enjoys quite a unique location compared to the other courses in the area. It demands accuracy as opposed to length off most of the tees and you'll be required to hit the middle of the fairway on a number of holes if you want a shot at the green
