Home to the Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Club, the Maxx Royal Hotel and more, it is an epic venue to take the entire family for a holiday.

Eight-time Ryder Cup star Colin Montgomerie is the man behind the Montgomerie Maxx Royal, a course that has hosted the DP World Tour in the past. The Turkish Airlines Open, a Rolex Series and Final Series event on the tour, called the Montgomerie Maxx Royal its home for four years in the 2010s. Thanks to the hundreds of floodlights that surround the golf course, it is also possible to play golf  late into the evening.

The golf course is situated next door to the Maxx Royal Belek Hotel - a member of The Leading Hotels of the World - which provides stunning luxury in an array of different suites and villas.
Each suite comes with a Jacuzzi bathtub, balcony and king-sized bed, with the Royal and King Suites also coming with separate living room and dining areas. There are also luxury private villas lining the golf course, all of which come with their own private pool.

The hotel is also home to Maxx Wellbeing, a private spa for guests of the resort. With Turkish baths, steam rooms, sauna and several treatment rooms, it is the perfect place for relaxation and to get rid of stress. The hotel also has a number of pools, a private 300 metre stretch of beach on the Mediterranean coastline, and an aquapark to keep the children entertained.

Maxx Royal Belek Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Montgomerie Maxx Royal - A Tour Venue

Named after, and designed by, Colin Montgomerie, the Montgomerie Maxx Royal is a stunning golfing complex. Opened in 2008 under the guidance of the eight-time Ryder Cup star, it has become one of the finest golf courses in the region, hosting a DP World Tour event on four occasions.

The Montgomerie Maxx Royal Course is a par-72, and plays in excess of 7,000 yards from the tips. It is set into more than 100 hectares of Belek coast, with the course flowing between pine forests and over the rolling sandy ridges.

The DP World Tour first used the Montgomerie Maxx Royal in 2013, the first year of the Turkish Airlines Open. The event became part of the DP World Tour’s Final Series (akin to the FedEx Cup Playoffs). Victor Dubuisson was twice a winner, and Brooks Koepka also victorious at the event.

After a three-year hiatus, when the tournament was played at Carya, Tyrrell Hatton won a six-man play-off on the event’s return to the "Monty Maxx", which finished under the floodlights as darkness closed in.

Other famous names to have played here include Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy Matt Fitzpatrick, Sergio Garcia and many, many more.
