Hagley Golf Club
SET in 170 acres of beautiful parkland with magnificent views of the Clent Hills, Hagley is considered one of the most challenging tests in the area and is home to one of the most advanced teaching academies in the region.
The course was originally laid out in 1980 as a nine-hole track (now the back nine), with the second added in 1984.
Both loops return to the clubhouse, making this an ideal society venue with numerous facilities readily available.
The course offers two contrasting halves as the outward nine sits on relatively flat terrain, whereas the inward holes provides a smattering of hills and undulations.
Both loops return to the clubhouse, making this an ideal society venue with numerous facilities readily available. While Hagley is home to several good-quality holes, the best of the bunch is perhaps its signature – commonly known as ‘The Monster’. This 557-yard par five is a real brute and requires, more often than not, three of your best strokes to find the putting surface. It is a slight dogleg left but as you near the corner the fairway narrows, leaving you with a testing drive to find the short stuff. The club is perfectly geared to cater for even the largest of parties as they offer a state of the art 28-bay driving range, well-stocked Pro Shop, a top-class academy and a spacious clubhouse which houses a staggering four bars. Not only that, there is always hot food available and a restaurant with traditional Sunday lunch menus. Bar snacks, private functions, live entertainment, conferences, weddings and family celebrations can all be catered for at this lovely club.
