Holme Hall Golf Club

Holme Hall Golf Club was formed in1908 on natural heath land with an abundance of gorse,broom and heather. It is18 holes,6404 yards in length with a par of 71.It is a regular venue of the Lincolnshire Amateur and Open Championship and has as its most famous Honorary Member Tony Jacklin OBE,CBE. Tony played much of his junior golf on the course and the club still proudly exhibit both his and Tom Weiskopf's scorecards when they both scored 63 in 1971 In 1993 a new course irrigation system was introduced incorporating greens,tees and fairways and a large lake holding 3 million gallons of water was built on the side of the 17th fairway. In conjunction with this, the Club has made great efforts to improve both the environmental and ecological situation. It has now become a well established habitat for numerous species of birds,mammals,amphibians,wild plants,trees shrubs and other wildlife and was presented with a "Highly Commended Award" in a recent national environmental competition.
