Malton & Norton Golf Club

Described by Peter Allis as “North Yorkshire's hidden gem”, Malton & Norton is ideally located between York and Scarborough and offers attractive views of the North Yorkshire Moors. It also provides 27 holes of easy-walking parkland golf. Split into three loops – Welham, Derwent and Park – the course features sharp changes in terrain and several deep bunkers. Sand is a major feature of the top hole on the Welham. The 423-yard ninth boasts three bunkers on the tight fairway and two either side of the narrow green. The sixth hole on the Derwent loop is an equally tough test. Measuring 342 yards, the hole features a fairway split by trees as well as an elevated green. You should be happy to walk away with par here. While these will both live long in the memory, the most spectacular hole on the course comes on the 3,165-yard, par-36 Park loop.
