Manor House and Ashbury Hotels, Devon

The Manor House and The Ashbury Hotels are two sister hotels set in the foothills of Dartmoor National Park.  The golf courses here are set in over 600 acres of beautiful countryside, offering stunning views of Dartmoor and across the rolling Devon countryside towards Exmoor. The complex offers designs which utilise the natural features of the landscape – making the most of mature trees, hedgerows and ponds. This unique complex, set just outside of Okehampton, offers three full-length 18-hole courses (the Kigbeare, Beeches and Oakwood), three 18-hole loops made from perming two of the Pines, Forest and Beeches nines, and a further 18-hole par-3 course, the Willows. In other words, that's 99 holes on the same site, something no other British venue can rival.
Fourteen of the holes were constructed on the Kigbeare Estate, where the large mature trees provide a sense of maturity to this fledgling layout.
The Kigbeare course is considered to be the most challenging layout at Manor House and Ashbury. The longest of the courses, it starts and finishes outside the clubhouse on two of the original holes built in 1991. Fourteen of the holes were constructed on the Kigbeare Estate, where the large mature trees provide a sense of maturity to this fledgling layout.  The Kigbeare boasts some of the most challenging of the venue's 99 holes, and one to watch out for is the 205 yard par-3 third. This tough hole is also visually stunning, dropping 50 feet from the tee to the green and demanding that players carry Hookmoor Brook to make the green.  When you book to stay here for a few days, included in the price is 27 holes of golf a day and the hotel guarantee there will be golf available regardless of the weather.  There are various deals and offers available throughout the year, and plenty of opportunities to escape for a high quality but top value golf break. And there is so much more than just golf to consider when planning that break. The range of sport, leisure and craft facilities makes Manor House and Asbury a must visit.  For those wishing to combine golf with other sports, the complex boasts no less than 11 tennis courts, two squash courts and 12 badminton courts which double up as short tennis courts for juniors. There is an outstanding indoor bowls centre along with other activities such as archery, snooker and ten-pin bowling available to guests. If that wasn't quite enough, there is also the Manor House Hydro Spa, which offers a world of relaxation away from the golf course. With a state-of-the-art hydro pool, saunas, steam room and spa baths, the spa provides the perfect place to unwind after a day of activity. However if active is what you are looking for, then the complex also has three swimming pools which vary in size. There are just under 400 rooms on offer across the two hotels, and all breaks are full board. All in all, it is hard to imagine a more complete golf break venue which will cater for everyone's needs and tastes.
