Manor House Golf Club
SOME venues ooze class from the moment you arrive and Manor House Golf Club is undeniably one of them.
Situated in unique Cotswold countryside in the stunning valley of Castle Combe, the undulating landscape provides a great adventure for any level of golfer.
Designed by the renowned BBC commentator Peter Alliss and his designing partner Clive Clarke in 1992, it is now widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the South West.
It has in fact been voted the number one course in Wiltshire and in some listings of the UK’s Top 100 courses.
The parkland layout boasts hand-cut tees and greens, limestone based fairways and makes great use of the natural contours to create some stunning holes.
Even when the ground lies flatter there are some interesting designs to challenge any level of ability.

Justin Rose stayed at the adjacent hotel when he got married and commented: "The Manor House is a wonderfully scenic golf course that complements the outstanding Manor House Hotel. "I certainly enjoyed the nine holes I played the morning of my wedding, hopefully I will have the opportunity to play there again.” You may think then that 18 holes at Manor House would cost the world, but winter specials start from as little as £32.50 per round in 2013.
