Although a seaside course the layout is more a parkland style, enhanced over the last twenty years by an extensive tree planting programme. It also drains very well, so it is open all year round with very few temporary tees or winter greens. The Clubhouse was originally built in 1923 and to the highest standards of the time. The building complements the splendid surroundings of the Morecambe Golf Course. From the lounges, you can enjoy the breathtaking views and sunsets of Morecambe Bay with the Lakeland Hills beyond. It is the perfect location to complete your day's golf, have a meal or take refreshments. There are two large lounges adjoining the main bar (including a separate lounge with large flat-screen TV), where members and visitors can enjoy a quiet chat with a wide choice of refreshments and light snacks available during opening hours. A second Member's bar and air-conditioned lounge with flat-screen TV is also available on the ground floor. The spacious and modern air-conditioned dining room, which underwent a complete refurbishment in February 2007, will comfortably seat 50 people. The Clubhouse also boasts excellent changing facilities, including separate visitors changing room with toilet and shower and direct access to the course.
