Orton Meadows Golf Club

Orton Meadows Golf Course was opened initially in May 1982 as a 12 hole course and later extended to 18 holes in April 1987. The course was designed by Dennis and Roger Fitton, the joint professionals at Orton Meadows and Thorpe Wood Golf Courses. The first 12 holes were laid out on land available in the Ferry Meadows Country Park and the remaining land on flood plain reclaimed during gravel extraction. The course is 5613 yards in length with a par 67.A club was formed in 1987.Golf societies are very welcome.
