pinnerhill-3

Pinner Hill Golf Club

Pinner Hill is located in a delightful setting at the top of the hill from which it takes its name. Surrounded by rolling parkland and mature woods, the peaceful atmosphere will make you feel a million miles from north west London's suburbia. Two nine-hole loops of mature fairways and undulating greens will lift and challenge your game while the historic clubhouse awaits you for a welcome drink and, perhaps a bite to eat after your round. The 6,392-yard parkland layout is set on the side of a hill, cutting through woodland to offer generous views across London to Docklands and the 'London Eye' and to the North Downs in the south.   Life in the capital is often chaotic so perhaps it is surprising at how much peace and tranquillity you can find at Pinner Hill.
The club also enjoyed a visit from US Open champion Rory McIlroy soon after his triumph at Congressional as he came to film an advert for banking company Santander.
This course is a fairly open one, with most holes free of trees. That said, there are more than enough hazards to keep you concentrating. The course begins with a long par 5. Measuring 527 yards, it requires a more than solid tee shot if you are to reach the green in 3. The hardest hole is the 6th, a long two shotter stretching to 476 yards.  The club also enjoyed a visit from 2012 US Open champion Rory McIlroy soon after his triumph at Congressional as he came to film an advert for banking company Santander. The advert has been widely viewed online, with McIlroy hitting an incredible trick shot with his back to the green over his head and almost into the hole.
