Skidby Lakes Golf Club

Situated just a short distance from the A164, close to the historic town of Beverley, this 18-hole parkland championship course was officially opened by cricket legend Ian Botham in June 2000. It has continued to improve and mature ever since. With scenic views this par 70, 6158 yard course, has a challenging variety of holes with water being regarded as an important part of its layout and included the 18th hole with an elevated 2-tier green in front of the Clubhouse. The practice facilities include a putting green, chipping green and undercover driving bays on the practice area. This, together with 2 practice nets, means that there is always something to do whilst you are waiting for your partners. The course is maintained using modern machinery and also boasts a computerised irrigation system. Designed to be two 9-hole courses, this means that the Clubhouse is easily accessible at the halfway mark. This is ideal for people not wishing to play the full 18 holes, or those who may wish to rest or take refreshments before continuing on the second half of their game.
