Tylney Park Golf Club
Tylney Park is set in a tranquil environment in the small village of Rotherwick – yet only five minutes from junction 5 of the M3.
The golf club – which lies close to golfers based in Basingstoke, Reading, Camberley, Hartley Wintney, Aldershot, Farnborough, Farnham, Fleet, Hook and Odiham – is one of the very best examples of inland golf in Britain.
The Rotherwick course is set in 200 acres of Hampshire parkland which is registered by English Heritage as a protected park and garden.
Situated next to Tylney Hall Hotel, the course now gives players of all ability a memorable experience.
In 2003, a leading firm of golf architects was asked to re-design the golf course in such a way that would do justice to a site which has long been felt could unlock more potential as one of the finest parkland settings in the south of England.
The Rotherwick course is set in 200 acres of Hampshire parkland which is registered by English Heritage as a protected park and garden. The completely overhauled course bears little resemblance to its former status. Every hole has been changed, extended and given a new lease of life. At over 7,000 yards from its back tees it offers a great test and has hosted a number of county events. The mature trees and large undulating greens are the main features of the course ensuring an attractive and challenging test. Just being on the putting surface is not sufficient to ensure a good score. The course offers five tee positions to enable golfers of all standards to enjoy their day. Spread over 200 acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside there are very few places closer to London that you can get a true feeling of being away from anything 'man made'. This is a course that you will want to come back to play again and again. Whether you are looking for membership, somewhere to bring a society or just a great day's golf, Tylney Park is the place to come.
