Uphall Golf Club

Relatively short, but demanding, parkland course of 18-holes in excellent condition. Conveniently located 200 yards west of Uphall on the A899 (Dechmont) Road. The course itself is a 5588 yard, par 69, easy walking. A warm welcome awaits returning and new visitors in the large modern (recently-extended) Clubhouse which offers full bar and catering services, changing room with showers and a large well stocked shop. Uphall has a great par four opener that shares the fairway with the following hole. The course is rather compact at the start as the second green is shared with the 15th hole. The best hole before crossing the road is the third, a good par three where accuracy is paramount. The green is the only level area here, as a sharp slope will usher any poor shots into the burn below. The penultimate hole is generally considered the highlight of Uphall. Here, you must decide whether to go for the green, which requires having to carry the stream in front of you - a common occurrence on this course - or play safe and lay up.
