THE COURSE Weston super Mare Golf Club offers an enjoyable round and will challenge the ability of all levels of golfer; indeed, it is often described as a 'tough par and an easy bogey'.  The course is an easy walk, with generous fairways making a good score a real possibility. It has superb views of Brean Down, Uphill Church, Steep Holm & Flat Holm and towards Cardiff down the Bristol Channel. In summer the greens are fast and true. It’s an all year round course. A signature hole is the 7th which is a beautiful par 3 hole playing 154 yards aptly named “four eyes” due to the four pot bunkers that stare straight back at you when teeing off! Another, the 15th, is a 458 yard par 4 supposedly modelled on the 17th at St Andrews Old Course, with a blind tee shot, out of bounds down the right, and the green set at an angle to the treacherous bunker at the front corner. It is always satisfying to get pars on these two great holes.  Although there are 16 other exceptional holes to choose from, and no real weak ones. COURSE LOCATION Weston super Mare is your gateway to the south-west and is now a very popular stop off point from London being only 2 hours away. This makes it ideal to break up the journey for a game before you’re a further 2 hours on to Cornwall and Devon.  It is situated at the southern end of Weston Bay, and within easy reach of junctions 21 and 22 of the M5 motorway. The nearest airport is Bristol, with many international destinations catered for.  It’s only an hour from Cardiff, two from London and Birmingham and three from Manchester. MEMBERSHIP Membership categories range from Full Membership, Joint, 9 hole, Flexi, Junior and Colt from age 18 to 35 years old, plus Corporate and the very popular social membership. The social aspect of the club is fantastic with various functions and events – ranging from Casino Nights to Bridge, Whist and Cribbage and the very popular Quiz Night to name but a few.  Our fully licenced bar offers a wide range of real ales, beers, wines and spirits and exceptional catering facilities; it is one you’ll  be proud to bring a  friends too either for a good night out or our very popular Sunday lunch. PROFESSIONAL & GOLF SHOP Head Professional Ben Lock and his team are focused on providing the best customer service to all members, their guests and visitors alike. He stocks a first class shop along with delivering excellent golf tuition. The team teach a simple yet effective method to all standards with modern technology being part of the lesson. Video or CG2 launch monitors are used for teaching and club fitting within our state of the art indoor fitting centre, so you’ll never miss a lesson because of the inclement weather. The Pro Shop stocks a wide range of clothing and all those golfing essentials you need on a daily basis, such as golf balls, tees, and refreshments. A fast and efficient club repair service is also offered. He is available for corporate and golf days to make sure your days goes smoothly. FUNCTION & CONFERENCE ROOM In our restaurant we can seat from 4 to 84 for all occasions; we have our own dance floor and can provide a DJ too. The food served is second to none - anything from a hot 3 course meal to a buffet. The lounge bar is an ideal venue for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and any other special celebrations. Our conference room can seat up to 40 and is equipped with overhead projector, white board, flip chart and TV. It’s available with full catering and bar facilities, plus free parking and Wi-Fi throughout the clubhouse.
