Withington Golf Club

THE lush tree-lined fairways and expertly-manicured greens at Withington are regularly described as among the best in the Greater Manchester area. Located along the banks of the River Mersey just three miles from the city centre, the MacKenzie inspired layout has occupied sumptuous parkland for over 180 years. After a gentle introduction Withington comes into its own with a late sting in the tail from the 14th onwards. The dogleg round the banks of the Mersey is a daunting, stroke index one prospect, while the 16th is one of the longest holes in the region and the two closing holes are both exacting par fours.
