The main feature of Dunstanburgh, the burn, is crossed on both the 7th and the 18th holes. After a set of steady opening holes, the 6th creates a tough challenge with an accurate drive needed from the top of a hill. Hidden greens are also particularly common, adding to the stern test this course can provide.
