The 12th hole poses a similar threat. One of a collection of long par-fours, the 482-yard hole features a large water hazard and trees to the back of the fairway. For those looking for a slightly less demanding afternoon's golf, the Acorns course is the perfect test. Measuring 2,297 yards, the nine-hole par-32 layout is open to all golfers and has a charm all of its own. Featuring greenside bunkers, large rolling greens and a tricky second hole, the course will still test your game, but offers a chance to relax and take in the attractive views across the Exe Valley. Golf aside, the club is a popular function venue and often hosts conferences, parties and weddings.
