The club was established in 1919 and has grown from humble beginnings to the excellent course and clubhouse you see today. We are very proud of the greens, albeit small; they are the envy of the . The pace and consistency of the greens, combined with the natural slopes, makes them extremely interesting. Set in the Wear Dale hills, it's natural twists and turns, up's and down's are a feature of the course. The scenery around the course is excellent, from the hills around Durham down to the north Yorkshire hills to the Cleveland hills, the view is inspiring, when you are out on the course on a summers day. We have a wide variety of visitor's from all over the country, they all remark on the friendliness and welcome of the club and its members. Visitors keep returning year after year, we must be doing something right.
