Donegal is the northernmost county in the Republic of Ireland, with its eastern boundary also being the border with Northern Ireland and back to the United Kingdom. Links golf is a part of the fabric of this region when it comes to sport.
As the fourth largest county in the Republic of Ireland, it is no surprise that there are several stunning golf courses in the region. Away from Rosapenna, the region of Donegal is home to another venue with multiple courses that make the NCG Top 100s! Both the Glashedy Links and the Old Course at Ballyliffin are worthy of a spot, with both having played host to important championship throughout their histories.
One of the most remote courses on any of our lists is Cruit Island. Situated at the very western tip of Ireland, it will take you a while to get there, but it is well worth the journey. The region also has the likes of Portsalon, Narin & Portnoo and Donegal, just to whet the appetite even more about a trip to the northwest of Ireland.

We updated our Donegal list when we created our NCG Top 100s list of the best golf courses in Ireland. If one course in Donegal is above another in our Ireland list, then it will also be above it in our Donegal list.
