Welcome to the NCG Top 100s list of the very best moorland golf courses in Great Britain & Ireland.

Usually high in the hills of the country, moorland golf might well mean a tougher walk, but the views and the quirkiness of most moorland courses make it well worth the effort.

Two of the finest moorland layouts in the United Kingdom are at the same venue - the King's Course and Queen's Course at Gleneagles. Throw in the likes of Delamere Forest, Kington and Appleby, and there is a great range of moorland golf to enjoy.

There are some courses on the GB&I Moorland Courses list that you will also find on the GB&I Inland or GB&I Parkland list for instance, as some venues offer a range of properties throughout their 18 holes.

Our GB&I Moorlands list comes directly from our Great Britain & Ireland list to begin with, before then looking at the best scoring moorland venues that sit across the England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland lists to complete the top 30.
