Perthshire is one of the few regions in Scotland where you won't find any links courses. That is is because it is one of the few regions in the country that does not feature any coastline.
However, that does not mean that there aren't high quality venues! In fact, the leading resort on the NCG Top 100s: GB&I Resorts list is located in Perthshire. Gleneagles is the perfect stay-and-play venue for anyone travelling to Perthshire. The glorious hotel and spa facilities are an addition to the three wonderful courses - the King's Course, Queen's Course and the PGA Centenary Course.
Next door to the Gleneagles Resorts sits Auchterarder, another beautiful parkland/woodland mix. The region is also home to Blairgowrie - which features both the Rosemount Course and the Lansdowne Course.
These are just some of the cracking inland layouts you can find in Perthshire, proving that you don't necessarily have to visit the Scottish coastline to find the best golfing venues...

We updated our Perthshire list when we created our NCG Top 100s list of the best golf courses in Scotland. If one course in the region is above another in our Scotland list, then it will also be above it in our Perthshire list.
