Like the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, the city of Glasgow and the surrounding areas are also home to some high quality golfing venues. All courses for our Glasgow are within a 30-mile drive from the centre of the city.
As the largest city in Scotland, there are plenty of places to stay in Glasgow. With culture and nightlife, it is a great city to spend a few nights while you play some of the wonderful courses that the region has to offer.
Albeit slightly further from the city centre than some of the layouts on the list, Lanark and Kilmacolm remain two of the best golfing venues in the region.
Closer to the city, there are some great parkland layouts. The likes of Cathkin Braes, East Renfrewshire and Glasgow Killermont add to the level of golf that Glasgow and the surrounding areas can offer.
How we compiled our Glasgow list
We updated our Glasgow list when we created our NCG Top 100s list of the best golf courses in Scotland. If one course is above another in our Scotland list, then it will also be above it in our list of courses in and around Glasgow.
