A charming little links course with a few nice quirky holes but played in a very compact area (a lot like Crail). May be manageable with controlled numbers but like many have been tempted by the $ and cramming as many people as they possibly can into that small parcel of land which makes for a painfully slow and dangerous experience as you weave your way up and down the parallel fairways. Expect a lot of waiting on tees and shouts of fore as balls whistle past your head.

Kilspindie is a course of quality and though this is important, that shouldn't be the focus. Just enjoy the day.

A short little gem sitting on the Firth. 8th over the beach with the wind playing with your mind is a cracker!

An ideal course for short but straight hitters, given the close proximity of many fairways and greens. Great scenery, but feels very crowded when the course is busy, with a regular risk of balls not finding their target. Several opportunities to drive the green on short par 4s - though the 9th bans golfers from trying…insisting they should lay up for safety reasons!

Kilspindie makes up for its short length with wild undulations. Good men and women can crumple when the wind blows.

It's tight, and the seaside holes are especially tricky. Anyone who thinks a par-69 means easy is in for a surprise.
