World class setting, world class holes and playable for all abilities: a benchmark course for walking off it with a smile. North Berwick has teeth on windy days so can challenge low cappers, but equally is very playable for high cappers. The green conditioning is improving every year but still needs to keep going. It's up there with the best fun golf courses, and lives long in the memory.

North Berwick is a very, very architecturally interesting golf course.

Can there possibly be another course whose elements fuse in perfect harmony as on and at the West Links?

A course very much praised and in fashion, North Berwick certainly has some features that are different from the norm.

Spellbinding scenery. Memorable holes. Fun to play. Retains the feel of a friendly local club despite international reputation. There is a reason that even top pros playing in the Scottish Open are happy to pay for a tee time here. Such a fun course to play.

North Berwick is one of the great adventures in golf. I loved every quirky green and every rippled fairway.

The West Links has the fun golf architecture of any course you are likely to play, copied extensively and exported around the world. From the ‘***’ to ‘Perfection’, to the Redan, to the green on Gate the course has it all.

This was my favourite course of my trip to Scotland. It has great creativity and challenge everywhere, and the greens were in such mint condition.
