This is a course many visiting the area would pass by and dismiss as being to short and not challenging enough. When I visited for the first time I was really surprised with what I discovered. Firstly, the course is far more difficult than its yardage would suggest. The views from many of the holes are incredible and the overall condition of the course was excellent. The irrigation is fed from a disused quarry so water is plentiful. Well worth a visit just for the views alone.

Traditional links with impressive views over to Arran. Short enough in length but undulating fairways, lined with gorse and rough and a scattering of blind shots protect it well.

Holes near the clubhouse 1-3, 16-18 on the more energetic terrain are the real highs

This exceeded expectations, wonderful views and some very good golf holes. Only a couple of lesser holes. Incredibly fun, you need to be accurate.

Great 36 hole day to Prestwick, lovely 18 on its own.
