One of my favourites, Prestwick is quirk golf at its best in the same bracket as North Berwick.

A classic links layout, a bit quirky which is tough and challenging.

The holes are a curious mix with some quirky whilst others are relatively modern.

A quirky course with an historical aura. Iconic 1st hole and an amazing 17th it's last championship hole in play.

Classic must play links. Not the longest but this one needs careful ball placement. The Sahara bunker on 17th is a sight to behold.

It is easy to romanticise our wonderful sport at Prestwick. A round here is like none you will ever play in your life.

I felt inspired by Prestwick. Its history combined with its quirky, unusual, sometimes blind holes, propelled me to some of my best golf of the year.

Tees, Fairways and greens were incredible but 2 or 3 weaker holes let it down. Very memorable as it’s a bit crazy in places (5th & 17th). Fun!

Prestwick is the home of the Open and is often described as quicky, eccentric a throwback and while there are elements of these like St Andrews this is a wonderfully strategic course where deep bunkers guard best driving line and a much more difficult approach is required if you play safe.
