After a getaway hole or two, a spectacular moorland landscape is revealed with numerous fine and dramatic golf holes.

The design over this dramatic property somehow avoids being an overly sporty course and delivers some punch all while offering good variety. I wish some grass and trees were cut back to allow the course to fully shine, but Ranfurly Castle is highly playable as is.

A revelation. A superb moorland course. Many fine holes with virtually 360 degree panorama at the top of the course.

Well presented parkland course. The signature par 4 9th hole to an elevated tee was a standout feature hole.
