The 15th dominated Open discussions, but this course is so much more.

A truly challenging championship course which is maintained in excellent condition. I'm not convinced by the recent changes, especially the 17th which is now being changed following the 23 Open.

A personal favourite. Such a solid, pure golf course. Lack of views count against it - but nothing else.

Highly strategic with a very clever design. The course slowly reveals itself as you play it more and more.

Not as spectacular as the routing through huge dunes like Birkdale or Hillside over the Mersey in Southport, but this is an incredibly strong and well-balanced golf course which would do better if not for the totally out of character "little eye" par 3 15th / 17th
