The quality of Royal Wimbledon came as a great surprise to me. I rarely hear or read mention of the course and this is an oversight. The course is stocked with many good holes, an excellent set of short holes and two holes which are outstanding (8 &11). The routing is extremely clever in moving the holes around the property in all manner of directions. This set-up also allows for a plethora of choices to play boozer loops... Being so close to London it is a wonder how secluded Royal Wimbledon is in terms of traffic noise and very few rooftops in view.
