If only the Red was a little longer, then it would receive the praise it truly deserves. The par 3 is not the strongest of finishing holes.

The work clearing out the trees has greatly improved the look and enjoyment of the course.

A course with 6 par 3, 4 & 5's should have wonderful variation. Still, the par 5s and par 3s especially seemed somewhat similar; the breathtaking heather-routed course through tall pines gave a wonderful feeling of isolation, and the 2nd is a wonderful par 3, and the 17th the pick of the par 5s.

With six par 5's six par 4's and six par 3's the Berkshire Red is right up there with the most unique heathland courses , The elevation on this course gives you some beautiful vista's and makes for unreal golf holes.
