The fairways and almost all the greens at The Machrie were in stellar shape, and we learned that scoring is possible with less-than-greedy course management.

What a wonderful place with the added bonus of having to get the ferry here, its an absolute must see.

We benefited from playing two rounds to understand blind shots and the angles needed for best approaches to greens that often have false fronts or sneaky run-offs.

I loved the 'Old' Machrie - I hear the renovation is good but will miss the blind shots.

Stretching across dunes the Machrie has been much changes over the years and now offers wide fairways, dramatic vistas and ever changing challenges of the wind and terrain while still linking to is past
