The most underrated golf course I can think of. So many great holes on an amazing bit of land, with incredible green sites in a beautifully remote corner of the country. I loved it.

A brilliant and unpredictable test of golf with blind shots aplenty, dramatic dunes, and no artificial shaping. A magical golf course.

Minimalist course on protected land. Ample room off the tee with plenty of jeopardy around the greens providing the challenge

Machrihanish Dunes is a rather lovely curiosity. We found its mix of short doable par-fours, very tricky longer holes and testing par-threes rather intoxicating.

It was hard to believe that this course is so new. It says a lot for the designer that it feels 100 years older than it is.
