Quiet opening and ending but the middle holes are thoroughly compelling.

As it should be. The opening and closing holes could be stronger. Feeling of exquisite, traditional golf from 3-16. The greens were great throughout.

This is a worthy next-door neighbour to Carnoustie and should be on more itineraries.

Three golfers have influenced the links at Panmure, Old Tom, James Braid and Ben Hogan with the 6th described by the later as the perfect golf hole the other 17 aren't too bad either.
